“I Made It Home” thanks to my Smart Band

Drunk driving accidents are top of mind for a few days, but sadly are quickly forgotten, therefore still adding to this detrimental public issue. 32% of drivers on the road still contribute to drunk driving accidents, and it's clear that brands like ours and public service campaigns haven’t done enough to lessen this problem. As the most popular ride sharing platform, we need to do more to lower drunk driving accidents and make it easier for people to use our services when they’ve had too much to drive.

Launched under our new creative platform “I made it home”, we used the tech behind wearable alcohol tracking, and created our very own Uber smart wristband that tracks your alcohol levels and immediately calls an Uber when you’ve had more than the legal limit to drive. Our smart wristband is connected through your smart watch and Uber app, which will shine blue when your alcohol levels rises above the legal driving limit. Our app then immediately sends you an Uber request free of charge, and you accept the Uber. The best part: our wearable tech is free, paid for through your Uber trips.

Campaign Idea: “I made it home”

Our creative platform “I made it home” is our solution to lower drunk driving accidents. We understand that we can’t stop drunk driving completely, but our smart band is designed to make it easier for our users to get a ride home if they’ve exceeded their legal driving limit.

Campaign Launch: Send your friends a Selfie when you get home thanks to your Uber Smart band

We launched our campaign by encouraging our users/passengers to send their friends a selfie when they get home from the back seat of their Uber. We got the word out about our new smart wristband through trust and testimonials aimed at bringing this to market.
